Alejandro Ibarra, 84, of Beaumont, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, at his residence.

Born in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico, on August 7, 1934, he was a son of Jose Maria Ibarra and Julia Arredondo Ibarra. He was a long time resident of Beaumont and retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was a welder.

In his younger years, Mr. Ibarra enjoyed playing baseball and then, as he grew older, enjoyed watching baseball games on television. He was known as a very friendly man who was a true gentleman. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Mr. Ibarra was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Oscar Ibarra; his sister, Eva Rodriguez; and his brother, Raul Ibarra.

He is survived by his wife, Lucia Ibarra; his children, Mayela Ibarra, Alejandro Ibarra and his wife, Patricia, Rosa Ibarra Bush and her husband, Michael, Maria Ibarra; his sister, Enedina Suarez; his grandchildren, Laura Sanchez, Abril Sanchez, Mariel Yebra, Reagan Bush, Javier Juarez, Alex Ibarra, Alan Bush, Luis Yebra; and his great grandson, Jaxson Ibarra

Visitation for Mr. Ibarra will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Cremation will follow.
