Alice Ann Smith

Alice Ann Smith, 72, of Orange, died Thursday, January 22, 2009, at Harbor Hospital of Orange.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at McDonald Baptist Church in Orange. Reverend Danny Gilliam will officiate. Graveside and interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Cookes Cemetery in Liberty.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Alice was born June 3, 1936, in Orange to Robert L. Moses, Sr. and Edith Alexander.

Alice was active in her Sunday School at McDonald Baptist Church, she worked for Higman Towing Co. for 40 years and was a licensed real estate broker for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Moses, and her brother in law, Byron Shivers.

She is survived by her husband, T. F. "Sleepy" Smith, her father, Robert L. Moses, Sr., sister, Leslie Shivers of Liberty, brother, Bobby Moses, Jr. and wife Jimmie of Buna, godson, Robert Worthy and nephews and nieces, Wade Davis, Ronda Davis, Mark Davis and Rockie Cofty.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to McDonald Baptist Church, 2015 Sims St., Orange, TX, 77630.
