Anna Mae Bergeron

Anna Mae Bergeron, 78, of Orange, Texas died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at her residence.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange, Texas on July 17, 1932, Anna was the daughter of Norma Schahn and Raymond Morris. She is a lifetime member of Cove Baptist Church in Orange, where she worked in the nursery for 20 years, and taught Sunday school for 30. Anna's home was always open to children. She was a homemaker, and for several years had a daycare in her home.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Morris; brother-in-law, Donald Perry; son-in-law, David Cobb; and one great-grandchild, Jacob W. Laughlin.

Anna is survived by her husband of 60 years, Elafay Bergeron; daughter Cathe Cobb of Orange; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond "Teco" and Deborah Bergeron of Orange; daughter, Norma Fay Bergeron of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Teina Marie and Gary Usery of Orange; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Levastie "Mann" LeBlanc of Orange; sister, Virginia Perry of Indiana; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Evelyn Morris of Deweyville; and sister-in-law Judy Morris.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Kenneth Laughlin, Jr., David Lee Cobb, Donnie Lynn Cobb, Frankie Bergeron, Johnny Roy Bergeron, Steven Morris, and Kevin LaRose

Memorial contributions may be made to Cove Baptist Church.
