Annette Taylor Die

Annette Taylor Die, 86, passed away of complications from a stroke on August 23, 2007, in Little Rock, Arkansas, after having recently moved to that city from Beaumont. Annette was born in Doucette, Texas, on February 22, 1921, to Anna Denson Taylor and Coleman Land Taylor. She graduated high school in High Island and then moved with her family to Beaumont, where she graduated from Lamar Junior College. From 1958 to 1973, she and her husband, J.D. Die, owned and operated a propane business in Silsbee, Texas. Following the death of her husband, she returned to Lamar to finish her degree, after which she worked for 10 years in the Lamar Library before retiring in 1985.

Annette was predeceased by two brothers, Glynn R. Taylor and C. L. Taylor, and her husband, J. D. Die. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Elmer Beard, of Aurora, CO, and her son and daughter-in-law, Jerome and Sharon Die, of Little Rock AR. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Melissa Beard Nuessel, of Silverthorn, CO, Laura Beard Cook, of Aurora, CO, and Meredith Die Strachan, of Houston, TX, and six great-grandchildren: Katrina Nuessel Forget, Jonathan Nuessel, George Nuessel, Christopher Cook, Tiffany Cook, and Jeremy Cook, all of Colorado.

Loving and gracious, Annette was quietly passionate about her faith and her family. She was a long-time member of Cathedral Christian Center. Throughout her life, she greatly enjoyed travel, both in the states and abroad, with some of her most enjoyable trips being with Lamar Rome and Lamar London.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel located at 1155 N. 11th Street, Beaumont, TX 77702. The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, AR 72204.

Annette, J. D., and family were dear friends of ours from many years ago in Beaumont at the First Pentecostal Church.
