Areta Arlene Peveto died October 18, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home at 1408 Park Ave in Orange.

Brother Wesley Blanton of Oakwood Baptist Church in Mauriceville will officiate. Interment will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at Claybar Funeral Home.

Reta was born on July 27, 1961, in Orange, TX to Marshall and Barbara Hendrix Peveto and is survived by her parents and her daughter, Heather and Jeremy Langley of Deweyville and grandchildren Jordan and Zoe Langley. She is also survived by eight brothers and sisters; Carolyn O'Quin of Mauriceville, Cathy Beecher of Rochester, NY., Carl Cherry of Lumberton, Herbie Peveto of Bridge City, Robbie Peveto of Newton, David Cherry of Port Arthur, Tommy Peveto of Mauriceville and Denise Ewing of Mauriceville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Cherry, Josh Cherry, Derrick Ewing, Robbie Peveto, Tommy Peveto, Troy Rodriguez, Herbie Peveto, Jeremy Langley, Scott Cherry and Jodie Caraway. Honorary Pallbearer will be Carl Cherry.
