Arthur Hal Anderson

Funeral services for Arthur Hal Anderson, 92 of Beaumont, will be held Monday, August 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sabine Tabernacle with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Jimmy Boykin and Rev. Johnny Johnson will officiate. A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rev. Anderson was born to William and Annie Anderson on April 19, 1917 in Quitman, MS and passed away on August 14, 2009 in Beaumont.

As a long time member of the Sabine Tabernacle, Rev. Anderson began his pastoral ministry in 1951 in DeRidder, LA. He retired from First City Bank of Beaumont.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eloise, daughters, Jeanne Foote and Martha Sue Morris. Mr. Anderson is survived by six daughters, Katherine Williams and husband, Paul, of Petal, MS; Elizabeth Frantz and W. T.; of Laurel, MS; Ann Monden and husband, Ken, of Yukon, OK; Rebecca Foote of Beaumont; Mary Carson and husband, John, of Texas City; and Margaret Vickers and husband, Ron, of Yukon, OK; and son, Arthur H. Anderson, Jr.; twenty grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and sister, Jewel Smith of Laurel, MS.
