Arthur Woodall

Arthur "Art" Woodall, 87, of Port Neches, passed away September 8, 2012 in Port Arthur, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home, with his son, Larry Woodall, and Pastor Robert Turnage officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodall was born on December 25, 1924 in Anita, Iowa to Larry and Mabel Mary Hildebrand Woodall.

During WWII, he served in the Army in the 8th Armored Infantry Division in the European Theater and the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Woodall attended business college. He was a Heavy Oil Supervisor at Unocal and retired after 35 years of service. He was owner of Woodall Electric Company and worked for the City of Port Neches as an electrician and then as the electrical inspector.

Mr. Woodall and his wife, MarJorie, have been members of Victory Temple since 1959 where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and deacon. He appreciated and valued his time with all the members of Victory Temple.

Mr. Woodall will be remembered for his fairness and sense of humor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, MarJorie Woodall; sons, Larry Wayne Woodall and wife, Susan, of Lumberton, and Danny Ray Woodall and wife, Arlene, of Port Neches; daughter, Dr. Connie Driver and husband, Dr. Gary Driver, of Kountze; grandchildren, Carrie Harless, Thomas Woodall, Amanda Coplen and Matthew Woodall; and four great grandchildren.
