Barbara Jean Tolbert Windsor Odom Brown

Barbara Jean Tolbert Windsor Odom Brown, 65, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Dayton, Texas. She was born on July 15, 1960, in Dunkirk, New York, and spent many years in Baytown, Spurger, and Silsbee, Texas, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and friendship.

Barbara loved the Lord and found comfort and strength in her faith throughout her life. She had a joyful spirit and was known for enjoying life's simple pleasures—playing games on her iPad, sharing laughter with those she loved, and relaxing with a Crown and Coke. More than anything, Barbara treasured her family. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Jean Tolbert; her beloved daughter, Leslie Jean Windsor Hearn; and her husbands, Leslie Windsor, Gary Odom, and Harold Brown.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her daughter, Crystal Hearn and husband, John Hearn. She was a proud grandmother to Alyssa Patterson, Kelsea Morton, Dalton Hearn, and Katlyn Hearn, and a devoted great-grandmother to Layklynn Patterson, Stetson Patterson, and Lincoln Morton.

She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Peggy Koonce, and grandchildren Jesse Haley and Shiloh Haley of Boerne and Spring, Texas, as well as great-grandchildren Maddy Haley and Megan Haley.

Barbara is lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Susie Lockhart, Buddy Tolbert, Pattie Pusatari, ToeToe Tolbert, Allen Tolbert, and Donnie Tolbert, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

Barbara's legacy is one of resilience, faith, laughter, and unconditional love. Though her family grieves her absence, they find peace knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and is now in the presence of her Savior.

Barbara leaves her family and friends with these words, written in her own heart:

"So to all the family and friends that have come and gone—farewell. May Jesus bless you each and every one. Don't put a lot of time in your plan, as you will find God above has His own plan for you. Accept it and never give up. Live each day to its fullest and be happy. Spread love."

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
