Barbara Elaine Krummel

1955 ∼ 2026

Barbara Elaine Krummel was born on December 5th, 1955, and passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2026, with family by her side. Today, we gather to remember her life and the journey she travelled.

Barbara’s life was not always an easy one. It was a life that came with challenges, hard seasons, and obstacles that required strength and perseverance. She faced more than her share of struggles, and through it all, she continued forward in the only way she knew how — one day at a time. Her story, like many, was complex and layered, filled with moments of both hardship and hope.

Life shapes us in different ways, and Barbara’s path shaped a woman who endured, adapted, and kept going. That kind of resilience leaves its own quiet mark.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Atkins; her children, Bryan "Bruno" Wiley, Jessica Krummel and her husband Miguel Martinez, and Randi Kaye Atkins.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Alli Muller and her husband Ray Muller, Damian “Chico” Craig and his wife Darla Craig, Talon Wiley, Landon Wiley, Logan Wiley, Emilee Grace Doucet and her fiancé Seth Lamson, Kylie Louviere, Miguel “Bubba” Martinez, Khloe Martinez, Adrina McCabe, Draven Finkenbiner, and Magnus Finkenbiner.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Kaily Muller, Allie Craig, Gemma Craig, and Miller Craig.

And she leaves behind her beloved fur babies — Jolene, Budley, Clutch, and Stevie the cat — who brought her comfort and companionship.

Barbara is now reunited in heaven with her husband, Marcos Krummel, along with others who went before her.

Though relationships and memories may look different for each of us, today is about honouring her life with grace and compassion. It’s about recognizing the road she walked, the strength it took to walk it, and the generations that are here because she was.

We hold space for both the hard parts and the meaningful ones, and we hope that now she has found the peace that may have felt out of reach at times in this life.

I’d like to close with a poem that brings comfort:

“I’m Free”

Don’t Grieve for me, for now I’m Free

I’m following the path God has chosen for me.

I took his hand when I heard Him call

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way

I’ve now found Peace at the end of day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joys.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.

Oh yes, these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow

Look for the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much

Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief

Don’t lengthen your pain with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and peace to thee,

God wanted me now - He set me free
