Barbara Ann Whiteside

Barbara Ann Whiteside, 62, of West Orange, Texas died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Orange Villa Nursing Home in Orange.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange, Texas on December 28, 1947, Barbara Ann was the daughter of Ruby Hilliard and Maurice Whiteside. She worked as an LVN and was a member of McDonald Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gordon Whiteside.

Barbara Ann is survived by her sisters, Mary Beth Whiteside of West Orange, Betty Amador of Houston, Katheryn Maddox of Boaz, AL; brother, Charles Whiteside of Anniston, AL; niece, Kathy Cruz of Fort Bragg, NC; and nephew, Keith Hernandez of Graham, NC.

I knew Barabara when we were in elementary school, our family lived next door to the Whiteside family on Irving then Alma st in West Orange. My memories of Barbara was her joyful smile.
