Graveside services for Benetta Zeigler Letney, 91, of Beaumont will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brookeland Cemetery in Brookeland, Texas with Dr. James Blackwell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home..

Mrs. Letney was born November 26, 1915 in Weeks Chapel, Texas to the late Thadis B. and Vergie May LaVine Zeigler. A former resident of the Browndell Community, she was a longtime resident of Beaumont and a member of South Park Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Lou Anne Letney of Beaumont; grandchildren, Britt Lackey and Sarah McElroy; Dr. Wesley T. Myers and wife, Keri; Melissa Myers Mitchell and husband Jamey; great-granddaughter, Madison Mitchell.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Doyle P. Letney, Sr. and daughters, Nancy Clary, Linda Burton and Martha White.
