Berl Flemin Reese

Berl Flemin Reese, 62, of Orange, died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange on April 24, 1948, Berl was the son of Fleta May Elmore and Leslie S. Reese. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later worked as a security guard. He was also an avid fan of the West Orange Stark Mustangs.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Buddy Reese; Berl is survived by his sisters, Betty Jo Reese and Carolyn Sue Hankins of Orange; nieces, Cindy Mouton and her husband, Grayling, and Kim Duncan; and nephews, Tim Hankins and his wife, Casey, and Robert Reese.

He is also survived by his great-nephews, Timothy Hankins and Reese Hankins; great-nieces, Shannon Huffman and Kimberly Mouton; great great-niece, Breonna Huffman; and cousins, Ethel Manasco and Mickey Chance.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dennis Hankins, Tim Hankins, Wilbur Duhon, Doug Anderson, Roger Garrie and Jimmy Holland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grayling Mouton, Dan Anderson and James Hamilton.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to the staff at Pinehurst Nursing Home and Dr. Howard Williams.
