Bertie Mae LaBleu, 89, of Orange died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist-Orange.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary site 1408 Park Ave. Reverend Leo Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bertie was born January 16, 1919 in Beaumont to Joseph William and Suzanne Theriot David and she spent her life taking care of her family.

Bertie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur LaBleu, two brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her children, Arthur W. LaBleu and wife, Verna of Orange and Katherine Sue Almaguer of Orange; sisters, Ethel LaBleu and Elvern Bell, both of Woodville, and Mary Ennman of Orange; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Arthur LaBleu, David Lee Elmore, Jr., Ignacio Almaguer, Ronnie Herman, Ronnie Herman, Jr., Slade Swinburn, and Colbey Swinburn.
