Bessie Rae Steele, a resident of Calder Woods Assisted Living facility in Beaumont, TX died at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont on May 29, 2015 at the age of 94 years. A longtime resident of Beaumont and formerly of Vidor, Mrs. Steele had retired from her earlier employment as a recording clerk in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of First United Methodist Church, 701 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, Texas, with Dr. Karen Dorris officiating.
