Betty Ann Morgan, 61, of Lake Sam Rayburn, passed away, Friday, March 21, 2008, after courageously fighting leukemia.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Bailey Harris of Old First Orange Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Betty was born September 7, 1946, in Gilmer, TX.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Bassham, mother, Dean Moody Thornton and son, Keith Morgan.

She is survived by her husband Arlo Morgan of Lake Sam Rayburn; mother in law, Mildred Morgan of Orange; daughter and son in law, Sheryl and James "Bubba" Parker of Orange; granddaughters, Heather and Hannah Parker and brother, Jerry Bassham of Dickinson, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, Donor Services, P O Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA, 01202.
