Betty Sue Hebert, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born on February 3, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Sue dedicated many years of her life to volunteering at the Dauphin Women's Center in Beaumont, offering her compassion and support to those in need. A courageous breast cancer survivor, Sue faced life's challenges with strength and grace. She found immense joy in crafting, creating beautiful blankets, Christmas stockings, and handmade Christmas and birthday cards that will be treasured by her family. Her love for cooking brought everyone together, and she always made sure family spent quality time with one another. Sue also cherished her adventures, especially going on cruises with her dear friends and family vacations every year.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Dixon Hebert; her children, Shawn Hebert and his wife Cathie, and Monique Orrenmaa and her husband Scott. Sue was a proud grandmother to Cara Ondruch and her husband Charlie, Austin Orrenmaa, Justin Hebert and his wife Kallie, Dylan Orrenmaa, and Wade Higginbotham and his wife Shelbi. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Ledger Ondruch, Easton Ondruch, Bexley Ondruch, Kinley Ondruch, Tucker Wilcox, Koehen Hebert, Kasey Hebert, and Rilynn Higginbotham. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Mary Boone and husband J.C., Linda West, and Kay Thompson and her husband David, along with many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Clara McCoy; her sisters, Jane Riggins and Shirley Hebert; and her brother, Leslie McCoy.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas, followed by an Interment at China Cemetery in China, Texas.
