Billie Walker, 85, was born March 8, 1927 to William Jennings and Laura Velma Mitchell Ware in Gadsden, AL and passed away June 26, 2012 in Beaumont, TX.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, June 29 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 30 at the funeral home officiated by Reverend Bill Fabriguze. Interment, officiated by her grandson, Charles Walker, will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

Mrs. Walker was a long-time member of the Esther Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church in Beaumont.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her children, Lollie Soileau and husband Farrell, Bill Walker, Tina Rucker and husband, Don, Ernest Walker and wife LeeAnne and Kent Walker; four grandchildren, Scott Garrett, Charles Walker, Ali Walker Roam and Haleigh Walker; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Ware; numerous nieces, nephews and the infamous " Crunch Bunch". She was preceded in death by her husband, Burt Walker, her parents, one sister and one brother.
