Billie Jean Barnett Emerson, 82, of Beaumont, Texas, died on July 30, 2009, at her daughter's residence in Bridge City.

Memorial service will be 10:00a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2009, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Brad Morgan and Reverend David Green.

Billie was born on October 30, 1926, in Beaumont, Texas. She was the daughter of Cecil Barnett and Ida Nolan Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin of 53 years; and sister, Eva Gentry.

Survivors include daughters, Sherry Baker and her husband Gary of Bridge City, Texas, Karen Ellis, and Rebecca Sanchez and Manuel of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Daniel and Christy Baker, James Wright and his wife Jennifer, Catie Snow and her husband Ken, and Miguel Sanchez; and great-grandchildren.
