Billy Wayne Hester Jr.

1956 ∼ 2024

Billy Wayne Hester Jr.

Bill passed away peacefully, on March 30, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 23, 1956, in Big Lake, Texas to Billy Wayne Hester, Sr. and Lucille Horton Hester. On Christmas Eve of 1990 he married the love of his life, Martha, and together they had a wonderful life. He hired out to the Union Pacific Railroad in June of 1977, and had a career that spanned 28 years. During that time, he was privileged to make many lifelong friends who became family. He loved collecting pocketknives, listening to good music., and classic cars, but by far his greatest joy in life was being "Hillbilly" to his grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Hudson Hester, his parents Billy Wayne Hester, Sr. and Lucille Horton Hester, and his sister Shirley Hester.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Brown Lindsey (Arlen), and son John Hester (Jessica) and grandchildren, Hudson "Bull' Flores, Bella Lindsey, Van Lindsey, Jayden Hester, Abigail Hester, and Alexandra Fisk. In addition, he is also survived by his sisters Karla Roberts (Craig) and Nancy Bacon, and brothers Ricky Hester and Kenneth Hester, as well as his nieces’ nephews, and cousins who he remained close throughout his life.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Bunt, James Butler, Mark Carnes, Leonard Davis, Jim Homan, Bob

Lanford, Danny Link, Ronald Greg Mitchell, Gary Tuschoff, and Joe Weaver.

There will be a Celebration of Life and BBQ lunch on Friday, April 5th, at 12:30pm, at the Tennessee Colony Community Center. Everyone is welcome. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of

I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. I pray for the family and friends. I remember hearing about Little Bill and a neighbor boy playingarounf the cemetery one night. Big Bill took a sheet and snuck down there. I'm surprised those boys ever stopped running.
