Bobbie Jean Stakes

Bobbie Jean Stakes, 73, of Orange, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at her residence.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange on September 17, 1936, she was the daughter of Eudale and Myrtle Winfree Granger. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Stakes Electric Company.

Preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Terrie Linn Stakes, she is survived by her husband, Calvin Stakes, Sr. of Orange; son, Calvin Stakes, Jr. of Bridge City; daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Scott Muckleroy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Billie Don Carter of Orangefield; and granddaughter, Citori Stakes.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Scott Muckleroy, Dan Stilley, Derwood "Speedy" Stakes, Jay Smallwood, Joey Campbell, and Lester Saucier.

I can still see her big smile and will always remember how gracious she was to open her home to us - Kellie's friends. She had a ton of patience with all of us.
