Bobby Dyson

Bobby Dyson, 66, of Orange, Texas died Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Bobby Dyson was born June 21, 1944, in Orange, Texas, the son of Cecil and Frances Dyson. Following graduation from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War from 1966-1970.

Following military service, Bobby returned to his hometown of Orange and married the love of his life, Gwendolyn in 1971. He began working at Owens Illinois Paper Mill in 1973 where he retired in 2007.

Bobby was known as being a man of simple life and loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Dyson; sister, Mary Sadler and brother, Billy Dyson.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen; mother, Frances Dyson; two daughters, Heather Dyson and Robin Dyson and fiance, Weldon Smith; granddaughter, Carley Rae Lowe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, H E and Martha Daniels; brother-in-law and sister-in-laws, Paul and Rebecca Daniels and Robert and Connie Daniels; nephews, Danny and David Sadler and Justin Daniels; nieces, Suzy Sadler Hutto and Michelle Daniels; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews, and long time family friend, Esther Whited.

Serving as Pallbearers will be David Sadler, Paul Daniels, Rob Daniels, Ricky Harper, Justin Daniels, and Weldon Smith.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr David Cox, Dr Jay Schachner and Dr Henry Williams and their staff for the compassionate and loving care given to Bobby.
