Bobby Goodyear

Bobby Goodyear, 59, of Orange, Texas died Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Pinehurst Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., August 23, 2010, at First United Pentecostal Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Gary Wheeler. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas on August 4, 1951, Bobby was the son of Willie Dell Frames and Floyd Mitchell Goodyear, Sr. He was a lifetime member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Orange. Bobby gave a great deal of joy to everyone who loved him during his 59 years, and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Dell and Floyd Goodyear.

Bobby is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Sharla Goodyear of Orange; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Jean Lyons and Oscar "Buddy", Jr. of Bridge City; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pinehurst Nursing Home and Odyssey Hospice.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Bobby. I remember the times he would always greet me when I would come to town. I remember the times I would visit him a his home and he would show me his room. He was always friendly and a joy to know. I have you all ##imported-begin##Kathy Peet##imported-end##

So saddened by the news of Bobby's passing. I have so many fond memories of him and the old Orange church on both Border Street and the newer one.
