Brad D. Sims, 32, of Orange, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at his residence.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Forrest Wood, pastor of First Baptist Church in Orangefield and Reverend David Millner, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange.

A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Weeks Chapel Cemetery in Newton County.

Visitation will be 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Beaumont on February 19, 1976, Brad was the son of John and Dianne Robinson Sims.

He was a graduate of Lamar Institute of Technology and was currently working in the sheet metal industry.

Preceded in death by his grandfather, Reverend Dan Robinson and grandparents, Bradie and Ruth Sims, Brad is survived by his parents, John and Dianne Sims; grandmother, Wanda Taylor and brother, Bob Sims, all of Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Sims, Bob Sims, Joey Hebert, Jerry Kelley, Rusty Perkins and Cade Kelley.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dianne, John and Bob, We are very sad to hear of Brad's passing. As the kids grew up we lost touch, but we remember Brad as a good, cute and friendly boy. I had the biggest crush on Brad because of that sweet smile he always had on his face. I had the privilage to catch up with him last year.
