She was very passionate about working with children and babies and helping them learn and grow. She loved her church where she was part of the AWANAS program, and taught Sunday School for many years. Brenda’s gift from God was teaching children about The Word. Anyone who knew Brenda knew she loved her family and her grandchildren most of all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and June Cox; daughter, Angela Kay Williams; and her sisters, Debbie Miller and Karen Hale.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jerome Vogel; daughter, Amber Baca and husband, Elvin of Beaumont; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brendan, and Milani Baca; her very own special Nana’s girl, Gabby Cox; and countless other children that she taught and loved over the years.

I loved working with you at Redeemer years ago. The love and passion for teaching children showed. I will cherish our lunches and laughter we shared. I'm thankful we ran into each other a few times through Brooklyn and my daughter Olivia's friendship.

We were blessed by knowing Brenda and are so thankful for her life and her energetic spirit even when she was not feeling her best. We met her after the flood and became friends as she and Jerome enjoyed shopping for the new things for their home. We had some canvas pictures that said "Amazed by Your Grace".....she bought all 3 to give as gifts. As she left that day, she said...."If you get any more of those....I want them." This morning, at the shop, we have been reflecting on Brenda and how we will miss her. We all talked about words that summed up her life....strong, caring, charming and full of grace. Thank you Lord for bringing her into our life.....she was a blessing. Barbara Hall and Jennifer Thomas and families
