Brian Baty, 35, of Mont Belvieu, formerly of Victoria and Vidor, passed away on May 1, 2020, at home surrounded by family.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later time.

Born in Beaumont, Texas on May 10, 1984, he was the son of Thomas and Fran Baty. Brian was a down to earth guy, and you knew that once you became his friend, you became part of his family. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Brian is survived by his high school sweetheart a & wife of 12 years, Ryan Baty; his son, Hunter and daughter Addyson; parents, Thomas and Fran Baty; brothers, Thomas Baty III & wife Lydia of Vidor, and Jason Baty & girlfriend Mellissa of Houston; nieces, Alexis Baty, Emily Baty, and Kambrie Leger; mother –in-law Ladonna Cagnon of Huntsville; as well as a host of other family and friends who he cherished.

Brian, I just heard about your passing today. I’m so sorry that we lost touch over this last 20 years. You were such a wonderful person and friend and we had a blast running track and cross country together. You, me and Brandon made an awesome trio on the track but I like to believe that we were even better friends. I will truly miss you and look forward to the day when I see you again.

Brian- you were loved by all and will be truly missed. My prayers go out to your wife and children, your parent and brother as well as the rest of our family. Even though we were miles away as cousins we all have had a special bond. I will never forget the super soaker war we had as children as one of the very first memories we had as the trip to the gulf where we were both were pinch in the hand by the crabs, the chucky jokes to send me to freak me out. This past year we were lucky to have visited twice and were able to see the Niagara Falls as a family as well as chicken wings, hot dogs family parties in New York as well as us coming down there to share in spending time in family time, Mardi Gras etc. We will love and miss you and cherish the times that were had by all. You will always be in our heart and prayers. Rest In Peace love you always.

I don’t guess I’ll ever forget the first time I met Brian. He was working for 7-up and I was working for Pepsi. He dropped a 2ltr of Big Red and the cap busted and sprayed me head to toe in the red soda. He busted out laughing and we’ve been friends ever since. He became family in my heart and I am really going to miss him. My prayers are for his family, we lost a great guy, a good son and a wonderful husband and father. We will see you soon, go rest high on that mountain.
