Burneat Cooper

Burneat Cooper, 61, of Orange, died, Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, the 31st at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Reverend Joseph P. Daleo will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, followed by a vigil at 7:00 p.m.

Burneat was born February 13, 1946, in Eunice, LA. She was a school teacher for 35 years in the West Orange Cove ISD.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Taylor Paul.

She is survived by her husband, Cornelius Cooper; parents, Burneat and James Paul of Orange and Ralph C. Hogan of Duson, LA; father in law, Bertram Cooper of Tallahassee, FL; sons, John Cooper and wife Heather, Cornelius Cooper and wife Melissa all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Brent Jamal Cooper, Corlissa Cooper, Madison Cooper, Mackenzie Cooper, Holly Cooper and Justin Gordon; brothers and sisters, Charlie Hogan and wife Liz, Mitchell Hogan and wife Rita, Ralph Hogan, James Paul and wife JoAnn, Nancy Mitchell and husband Tommy, Beth Wheeler and husband Kenneth, Judy Paul Books and husband Barry, Michael Hogan, Janice Hogan and Tommy Hogan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne McCamey, Ralph Hogan, Kenneth Wheeler, Cornelius Cooper II, Taylor Watson, Barry Books, Dustin Hogan and Lewis Hogan

Floral memorials may be sent to the funeral home or memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic School Fund.
