Funeral services for Cameron Eberle, 44, of China will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of China with Rev. John Woodall officiating. Interment will follow at China Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Eberle was born August 17, 1965 in Riverside, CA to Chaplan Eugene and Rita Eberle and passed away in Beaumont, TX on November 12, 2009. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Holly Eberle Hollifield.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Charlotte Eberle; daughter, Paige Eberle; sons, Colt Eberle and Scotty Eberle, and daughter, Tiffany Eberle; grandchildren, Cierra Hollifield, Emily Hollifield, and Logan Eberle; sister Jeannie Davis; and a host of friends and family.

My name is Darrin De Guia. I’m not sure if the Eberle family will read this, because I’m writing this on 9-21-20. It’s been years, but Lord willing. Cam and I first met at Corona Christian School in 1981. We formed a group called Charity when we were in our teens, I didn’t have a drivers license yet. He played the piano and sang, and I sang from behind my drums. Sometimes I played guitar. We rehearsed at Calvary Baptist Church in Corona, where Gene was a pastor. We played for services, youth nights, our school, and churches that invited us. Later, I sensed a bit of musical indifference with Cam, so I broke away to form a band I could front. There was no hard feelings, and Cam still hung out with me until he and the family moved. Jennie Dawn was a grade school kid then. I heard she grew up to be a pretty young lady from Mrs. Choat the Sunday School teacher. Gene and Rita were always nice to me. I was shocked to hear of Cam’s passing.
