Capt. Charles Hofstad

Captain Charles Ivar Olsen Hofstad joined his deceased Father and Mother, Charles and Grace Hofstad on December 1, 2008.

Captain Hofstad recently retired from Megafleet Towing Company of Pasadena, TX.

A graveside service will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 1:00 p.m.

Captain Hofstad was born in Orange, TX on October 6, 1942, and lived his early life in Port Neches, TX where he attended schools.

Survivors include sons, Kelly Hofstad and Kevin Hofstad, both of Jefferson County, TX; a granddaughter; two sisters, Peggy John Haizlip of Vidor and Patricia Sev Sunseri of Tallahassee, FL; two nieces, three nephews, two great nieces and three great nephews

Charles, I will always think of you as my Paw-Paw. You were more of a grandfather to me than my own grandfather. Charles, I will always LOVE YOU, you were more of a father to me then my own father has been. You saved my life when I was a young person. You asked me one time if I did it and you know what I am talking about, when I said I had nothing to do with it y##imported-begin##Christy Stites##imported-end##
