Carol Ann Cappen, 63, of Orange, Texas died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at UTMB in Galveston.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010, Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Born in Orange, Texas on February 4, 1947, Carol was the daughter of Willie and Helen Bergeron Broussard. She worked as a secretary for a general contractor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Helen Broussard.
Carol is survived by her son, Troy Richardson of Orange; daughter, Tracy Smith and fiancé, Fred Hoffpauir, also of Orange; grandchildren, Tyler Richardson, J.R. Patillo, and Jessika Hoffpauir.
She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Moss and Alan Broussard; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Thomas Pitts; aunt, Gertrude Broussard; sister-in-law, Cecille Moss; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the family and friends for their love and support during Carol's illness.
