Catherine Ramirez Lopez

Catherine Ramirez Lopez, 92, of Beaumont went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 5, 2012. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Sierra Blanca, Texas on November 25, 1919 to Maria and Lorenzo Ramirez. She moved to Beaumont in 1942, after marrying Domingo "Joe" Lopez, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Rose Marie Doyle and her husband Edward, Ann Gunter and the late Ralph E. Gunter, Bertha Garcia and her husband Marcelino, Eloise Price and her husband Ron, Sebastian Lopez Sr. and his wife Carol, and Thomas Lopez and his wife Brenda; 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; brother Manual Ramirez; and a host of other family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South Lhs Drive, Lumberton, TX. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, or Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont Texas 77701.
