Cecil Ray Dixson, 76, of Bridge City, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, at the funeral home.

Born in Foreman, Arkansas and reared in Port Arthur, Mr. Dixson was currently a resident of Bridge City. He was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War and retired from A. Schulman Co. where he was an electronic engineer.

Mr. Dixson is survived by his wife, Sofia Dixson of Bridge City, son, Ivan Dixson of Orangefield; daughters, Sonia Dixson of Orange, Lana Dixson Thomas and her husband, Lee, of Eastanollee, Georgia; grandchildren, Jeremy Granger, Ivan Dixson, Jr., Derrick Landry, Ben Dixson, David McKay and Casey Dixson.

He is also survived by his brother, Charles Dixson of Mauriceville and sister, Janice Dixson of Vinton, Louisiana.
