Charlie J. Dial

Charlie J. Dial, 81, of Bridge City, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Born in Pilot Point, Texas on February 16, 1930, Charlie was the son of Charlie Hubert Dial and Carrie Bell Dean Dial. He was a member of Cowboy Church in Orange County.

Charlie is survived by his daughters, Sandra Taylor and Alice Castille of Bridge City; and sons, Charlie L. Dial of Bridge City and Paul Dial of Nederland.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sandy Shugart, Carrie Walls, Donald Castille, Wendy Beall, Christie Ray, Steve Taylor, Jr., Donnie Dial, P.J. Dial, C.J. Dial, Jenny Dial, Matthew Dial, Joshua Dial; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; brother, Dr. John Dial of Jackson, Mississippi; and sister, Charlene Hensleigh of Purvis, Mississippi.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange and Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City.

I remember Charlie Dial from years back. I flew his airplane for him when he owned Dial Chemical in Bridge City, I actually bought an MG Midget from him. Been there n his home. He is sorely missed. Charles W Murray

I have many fond memories, one special one was the carribean cruise John and I took with Betty and Charlie. He and Charlie were shuffule board champs.
