Clara Edwards, 80, of Bridge City, died Friday, March 7, 2008 at her residence.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend David Green of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Clara was born on November 13, 1927, in Corsicana, TX. She was the daughter of John and Annie Taylor Mason. Mrs. Edwards worked for Bridge City State Bank as senor vice president and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church since 1952. She also volunteered for the American Red Cross.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Kuykendall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Stewart Tom Edwards, sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Edwards and Lisa, and John Edwards all of Bridge City; grandchildren, John, Stewart, Amber, and Clay Edwards; brother, Tommy Mason of Lindale, TX; and sister, Opal Fox of North Carolina.

Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Brint, Jimmy Brint, Mike Cole, Edgar Eshbach, Stewart Edwards, and Clay Edwards.

Honorary Pallbearer is Ronney Moerbe.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Odyssey Hospice.
