Clara Allyse "Lisa" Wolf

1949 ∼ 2025

Clara Allyse “Lisa” Wolf, born on June 7, 1949, in Greenville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. She lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to education, artistry, and community service, embodying a spirit of generosity and compassion throughout her years.

Lisa enjoyed a distinguished career as a teacher, spending over 25 years imparting knowledge in English and Art. Her time at West Brook High School was marked by her deep commitment to enriching the lives of her students, nurturing their creativity and encouraging their academic pursuits. Lisa’s influence extended well beyond the classroom; she instilled a love for learning and self-expression that her students carried with them long after they left her classroom.

In addition to her significant contributions to education, Lisa was an active member of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), a testament to her dedication to supporting women's education through grants and loans. This commitment reflected her strong belief in the power of education to transform lives. She was also a proud member of the Golden Triangle Republican Women (GTRW), where she engaged deeply in community matters that mattered to her and those around her.

Lisa’s eclectic sense of style and artistic flair were hallmarks of her personality. She had a passion for cooking, and her hospitality was renowned among family and friends; she truly believed that a warm meal could bring people together. Lisa never met a stranger, always welcoming others with open arms and an open heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Lisa is survived by her beloved daughters, Allyse Gregory, Evelyn Spencer, Jamie Anderson and her husband Cory, and Hallie Walcott. She cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandchildren Geoffrey Gregory, Caleb Gregory, Jack Reid, Seth Spencer, Ava Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Cameron McCracken, and Bennett Scott. The legacy of love and support that she fostered in her family will continue to resonate through the generations.

She was preceded in death by her mother Clara Allyse and her brother Marty Rutherford. Clara’s memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jamie and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was such a beautiful soul! Lisa will be dearly missed. She always seemed to have so much fun in life, as I am sure she is, now, having a spectacular time with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Praying for you all during this time.

I am so thankful that our paths crossed through PEO in Beaumont. Lisa lit up the room with her smile, twinkling eyes, and laughter. She welcomed us into her home, always making us feel special. She certainly had style and her artistic abilities shone through her paintings, her attire, and her home. She lives on through each of you. In all things we are more than conquerors through Jesus. My love and God’s blessings.

Lisa and I work many years together at West Brook HS. I cannot begin to tell you how much we laughed and talked over those years. I saw her last year at WB as she was doing what she loved, she was sub-teaching, and I bumped into her as she was leaving. We hugged and shared some memories and in our typical fashion we hugged one more time, laughed one more time and said our goodbyes. Had I known I was not going to see her again I would have held on to her just a little longer. Lisa was the most authentic person I have ever met, and she is going to be missed by all of us that knew her. Friends always and much love, Jessie White

I was incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to meet and work with Ms. Lisa at Kelly. What a true joy and ray of sunshine she always was. I knew when she was coming to school, it was going to be a great day getting to see her beautiful smile and kind spirit. There was one day at school that she came in and I wasn't there. I came the next day to this note on my desk and it immediately brought a smile to my face. She truly will always hold a special place in my heart!

Mrs. Wolf was my art teacher at West Brook. She gave me inspiration and passion into art that helps me to this day. Her clever ways, techniques, projects, and encouragement were everything. She inspired me to challenge myself and try new things- techniques that I have never done before. Never to be afraid to make that leap. She was full of life, happiness, and joy when I would see her in the hallways. Gave me the courage into dating my best friend who I now call my husband of 14 years now. We will always cherish her in our hearts forever.
