Clara Matilda Green, 85, of Orange, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, in a local nursing facility.

Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. No visitation is planned.

Mrs. Green was born November 28, 1923, in Port Arthur. She was the daughter of Ruben and Margaret Inez LaQuetta Curl.

She was a homemaker and member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, Reynolds B. Green; daughter, Carolyn Gayle Green; one brother and three sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Waldrep of Jasper; granddaughters, Reneé Tucker of Orange, Lynn Adair Swartz of Arizona and two great grandchildren.
