Clifford Ray Balsamo, 62, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on May 2, 2025, at home.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 26, 1962, he was the son of Chris J. Balsamo, Sr. and Carolyn (Hammers). He was a beloved figure in the lives of many who knew him. Clifford had a warm heart and a strong sense of loyalty, always proving to be dependable in times of need. He cherished his family deeply, especially his mother, whom he loved dearly. Clifford took great joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews, being a great uncle who played with them and created lasting memories. In addition to family, Clifford found joy in simple pleasures. He enjoyed eating and often relished the chance to go out and try new places. He had a particular fondness for playing bingo, where he could savor both the thrill of the game and the company of friends. Clifford will be remembered not only for his love of family but also for his cheerful spirit and ability to bring joy to those around him. His presence will surely be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and Chris Balsamo, Sr.; grandparents, Sybil Hammers and Bobby Hammers; uncle and aunt, Allen and Abie Hammers.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Savannah Kasper, Krystal Ruiz (Steven), Kurt Kasper, Ryan Kasper, Chris Balsamo III, and Roland Kasper; siblings, Cammie Kasper (Chris Bardwell), Casey Read, Chris Balsamo, Jr., and Corey Balsamo; care givers, Courtney Slaughter and Kimberly Allen Vincent; and other loving family and friends.

I had the chance to get to Clifford and everything time he would see me he would get super excited Clifford loved his family he may not have had his own children but was and played a father role to many and was a beloved brother he was the glue that held things together whenever things got tough he never backed down and left this world a fight and a survivor thank you Clifford Ray for giving me the chance to give back some of what you gave me thank you for trusting me enough to be with you while you were on your journey home fly high cliff fly high love you bro frfr love and respect
