Clifford P. 'Butch' Alford, Jr.
Clifford P. 'Butch' Alford, Jr., 63, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away peacefully at St Lukes Hospital in Houston, on Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 14, 2009, at First Christian Church of Orangefield. Officiating will be Pastor Bobby Granger and Reverend James Moore. Burial will follow at Alford Family Cemetery in Orangefield.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, at First Christian Church of Orangefield.
Clifford was born on September 24, 1945, in Orange, Texas. He was the son of Clifford P. and Olga Granger Alford, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alford; mother Olga 'Sis' Alford; sons, Ernest Alford, of Dallas, James Alford, of Silsbee; daughter Jeni Johnson and husband Jeremiah, of Lumberton; step-sons, Donald Bearce and wife Leah, of Lumberton, Jason Bearce and wife Kristin, of Pasadena, Brian Gibbs and wife Brooke, of Bridge City; step-daughter, Romandy Gibbs, of Orangefield; eight grandchildren; brothers, Avery Alford and wife Della of Bridge City, Robert Alford and wife Julie, of Orange; sisters, Peggy Alford, of Orangefield and Kathy Tillman and husband Clem, of Orangefield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Bearce, Brian Gibbs, James Alford, Ernest Alford, Jason Bearce and Jeremiah Johnson.
