Craig Roy Phelps, 27, of Orange, passed away.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home.

Craig was born on September 18, 1980, in Galveston. He was the son of David Wayne Phelps and Mary Louise Trahan Granger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sam Rayburn. Craig was a good person, who always thought of others, and was always smiling. He loved fishing, hunting, and most of all, his children.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ludger ?Blackie? Trahan; paternal grandparents, Virgil Roy and Mildred Phelps; and his step-grandfather, Kenneth Lee Granger.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Phelps of Orange; sons, Eston Martin Phelps and Kenneth Lee Phelps; mother and step-father, Mary and Kenny Granger of Mauriceville; father and step-mother, David Wayne and Linda Phelps of Winnie; maternal grandmother, Annie Mae Trahan of Winnie; step-grandmother, Leona Granger of Mauriceville; brother, Scott Wayne Phelps of Winnie; sisters, Tammy Renee Melancon of Hampshire-Fannett, Melissa Ann Bruno of Vinton, LA, and Mandy Faye Ardoin of Sulphur, LA; and nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Phelps, Adam Ardoin, Eric Bruno, Jeff Melancon, Tyler Bruno, Dustin East, Tim Evans, and John Martin.
