Funeral services for Creola Virgie Poole, 83, of Vidor, TX, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., February 3, 2010, at The Apostolic Church with Rev. Marvin Cole officiating and Pastor Jonathan Elms assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be Terrell Kendall, Alton Kendall, Richard R. Dyson, Jr., Shawn Hawthorne, Michael Bearden II, Nathanael Shriner, Dalton Odom, Joseph Chapman and honorary pallbearers will be Roy David Lee, Bobby Glenn Kendall, and Stephen Anderson. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, TX. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Poole was born August 12, 1926 in DeRidder, LA and passed away January 29, 2010 in Vidor. She was a great mother and a member of The Apostolic Church for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Terrell T. Poole, parents, Roy and Frankie Hampton, and brothers, Walter and Morris Hampton. Those left to cherish her memory are her seven daughters, Bilbie Chesser and husband, Harold of Hemphill, Virgie Stutts and Larry Lee of Vidor, Bobbye Kendall and Jack Whalen of Troy, MO, Wanda Gregory and husband, Harold of New Castle, IN, Brenda Shriner of Vidor, Alissa Dyson & husband Richard of Lufkin, and Olissa Hawthorne and husband, Charles of Nederland; 83 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and sister Vircie Tobler of Verona, NJ.
