Dale "Cotton" Collier

Allen Dale “Cotton” Collier, 69, of Beaumont, passed away on October 21, 2019.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont. Officiating will be James Boykin. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m., at Sabine Tabernacle.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on May 27, 1950, he was the son of Marvin Collier and Gloria (Barbin) Pruitt. Dale was a talented fisherman, competing in many tournaments. He enjoyed golfing, carpentry, tending to his lawn, and in his youth, skiing. Following his retirement at Goodyear as a lab worker, he worked for Hemphill School District. Dale was a wonderful and loving husband, and was a kind and nurturing father. He will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Collier; and sister, LaDean Collier.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carolyn Collier; mother, Gloria Pruitt; daughter, Tiffany DeAnn of Groves; and grandchild, Dylan Collier of Hemphill.
