Daniel Charles Batchelor

Daniel Charles Batchelor, 64, of Orange, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Dubuis Hospital.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Terry Brown of First United Methodist Church in Orange will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Daniel was born February 15, 1944, in Terre Haute, IN, to Charles Kenneth and Ila Amanda Mason Batchelor.

Daniel graduated from West Orange High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves. He was an electrician and retired from Dupont Sabine River Works after 37 years.

Daniel loved to fish and spend time with his family and pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ila Batchelor.

He is survived by his wife Judy Batchelor; sons, Robert Batchelor and wife Bobbi of San Angelo, TX, Ronald Batchelor, Jeffrey Batchelor and wife Tisha and Timothy Batchelor and wife Amy all of Orange; his grandchildren, Randall Batchelor, Hunter Batchelor, Griffin Batchelor, Tanner Batchelor, Brooklyn Batchelor, Hannah Batchelor, all of Orange and step grandchildren, Kenny Stewart and Casey Stewart both of San Angelo, TX and brother Kenneth A. Batchelor.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Batchelor, Ronald Batchelor, Jeffrey Batchelor, Timothy Batchelor, Randall Batchelor and Robert West.
