Darlene C. Bartling, 67, of Orange, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, in Baptist Orange Hospital.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Darlene was born on December 10, 1941, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the daughter of Ruben James and Cuba Pavlicek. She loved her animals and was a great cook. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter Jeannie and met a lot of friends at the Winnie Trade Days. Darlene was also a strong and independent woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Irene Swathwood.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jeannie Bartling Allen and her husband Wyatt of Orange; and brothers, Bub Pavlicek and Candy Pavlicek.
