David Glenn Green, 54, died Friday, October 17, 2008.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary site, 1408 Park Ave. Barry Jones, minister of 9th and Elm Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.

David was born September 30, 1954, in Mineola, TX to Ed and Vonda Arledge Green. He later graduated from Lutcher-Stark High School. David was a lifelong member of 9th and Elm Church of Christ and owned his own business for over 25 years. David had a heart for others and was a special friend to so many people. He always brought a smile to the face of everyone who knew him and touched numerous lives. A light to the community, he served those around him and saw that their needs were met. He was a loving father and grandfather. A more devoted son and brother you could not find. "Uncle Dave", as he was affectionately known by his nieces and nephews, was indispensable to his family and loved by all. A tremendous void has been left by his passing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

David is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Diane Green. He is survived by his parents, Ed and Vonda Green of Orange; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Felecia Green of Houma, LA and daughter, Alicia Green of Orange; grandchildren, Jalynn, Jada, and Jay Green, Kaleb Green and Danny Todd Mitchell, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Mike Green of Orange, Stevie Jones and husband, Shawn of Houston, Toni Terry and husband, Darrell of Orange, Evie DiLeo and husband, Kevin of Orange, Milton Lollar and wife Michelle of Kountze, Kay Martinka and husband, Steve of Kountze, Millee Procella and husband, Glenn, of Orange, and John Lollar and wife, Jackie of Orange; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Terry, Terry Green, Jeremy Green, Zach Jones, Kevin Dileo, Max Dileo, Chad Robison and Jonathon Lollar.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Green, Shawn Jones, Darrell Terry, Steve Martinka, Glenn Procella, and John Lollar.
