Debra Ann Prejean James, 48, of Vinton, LA, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange.

Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Officiating will be Reverend Greg Frazier, pastor of First Pentecostal Church in Starks.

Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Debra was born February 11, 1960, in Orange, to Gabriel and Clara Janice Neugent Prejean.

Debra loved animals, she especially loved to fish and grow flowers in her garden.

Debra was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lynn Prejean.

She is survived by her parents, Gabriel and Clara Prejean; son Brandon Prejean of Lake Charles;

granddaughter, Kaylee Brook Freeman; brother, Billy Joe Phillips and wife Jackie of Beaumont; and many nieces and nephews.
