Debra Jean Adaway

Debra Jean Adaway, 57, of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City with Reverend Brad Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas on August 25, 1953, Debra was the daughter of Elton and Elizabeth Primeaux Myers. She was a very loving and caring person who never met a stranger.

Preceded in death by her parents, Debra is survived by her husband, Bobby Adaway of Nederland; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Mark Werkheiser; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Rose Adaway, Jr.; son, John Adaway; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Matt Reeves; and daughter, Mitzi Adaway.

She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, Zara and Kara Killman, Richard and Michael Dean Baker, Haylee, Brandon and Zachary Adaway, Marc Contreras, Jr., Daniel and April Contreras, Annie B. Hankins, Michelle Duplantis, Lindsey Peoples, and Andrea Bryant; 9 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., Anthony, Tristan, Conner, Mackenzie, Destiny, Dillon, Raven and Alexis; and 6 siblings and their spouses, Jerry and Katie Myers, Mae and George Steagens, Shirley and the late Michael Wilkinson, Sr., Cindy Myers, Elton and Julie Myers, Jr., and Wayne and Denise Myers.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Brandon Adaway, Aaron Myers, Jason Myers, Dan Weaver, Duane Hines and Kennedy Harris.
