Delpha Jo Honeycutt

1927 ∼ 2012

Delpha Jo Honeycutt

Delpha Jo Honeycutt passed peacefully from this life Saturday morning, December 8, 2012. She was born September 6, 1927 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Honeycutt, her parents, Katie and J.B. Dees; and sister; Margie Tutt. Left to cherish her memories are son Bradley Honeycutt, and wife Brenda Honeycutt of Beaumont; daughter Judy Honeycutt, also of Beaumont; and son Craig Honeycutt and wife Tania Honeycutt of Dallas; grandchildren are Katie Balliviero, Cody Balliviero and wife Bridgett Balliviero; Jordan Honeycutt and Maddie Honeycutt.

Jo, as she was known by most everyone, was a charter member of New Life Tabernacle. She and her close friend and business partner, Lucille McCoy, ran McCoy's Antiques for over 30 years before closing down in 2007. Jo lived a rich full life making a positive impact on all that had the privilege of making her acquaintance. As a woman of God she was very candid in her thoughts and opinions yet was never one to place judgment. She was considered a friend to all who met her, a help to those who needed it, but most of all she was known as a Christian.

Funeral Services will be held at Claybar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be on Wednesday 10 a.m. followed by internment in Kilgore, Texas at 4p.m.

Special thanks to the organizations Touched by an Angel and Southeast Texas Hospice for their special care in her time of need. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. As sad as it is to see her leave this world, it is comforting to know that she has moved on to a better place. Let her memory live on in our hearts!

Condolences
