Dominic P. Klekar

Dominic P. Klekar, 71, of Orange, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Senior Rehab in Port Arthur.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Anselm Eke of St. Therese Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home.

Dominic was born on August 9, 1936, in East Bernard. He was the son of Emil and Clara Liberda Klekar. Dominic was retired from the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW and NCOA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo B.J. Klekar of Orange; son and daughter-in-law, William D. Klekar and Suzanne of Yorktown, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Donna M. Faulkner and Ted of Clarksville, TN; stepchildren, Stanley Brooks, Barbara and James Smith, and Sheila Brooks all of Orange; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister Lillie Clark of Orange.

Uncle Donnie, you were my hero and always will be. I hope you can visit with my Dad and tell him how much we miss him here on earth. I'm just so glad we got to see each other 2 years ago.
