Don Baggett

Funeral services for Don Baggett, 80, of Beaumont, TX, will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Calder Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive guests at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Baggett was a long-time member of Calder Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for thirty years. He retired as a superintendent from Neches Butane/Texaco. His gift for furniture restoration grew into an upholstery business. During WWII, Don served in the Merchant Marines. Family, church, and friends were what he valued the most. Preceding him in death was his wife of 54 years, Sara Fail Baggett. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hazel Baggett; daughter, Linda McLemore and husband, Marc, son, Larry Baggett and wife, Gladys, two step-sons, Mike and Walter Embler; grandchildren, Charles Walker, Alicia Roam, and Julie, Joshua, and Jeremy Byrom; and seven great-grandchildren.
