Donald E. Goodsell

Donald E. Goodsell, 86, of Orangefield, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Forrest Wood of First Baptist Church of Orangefield. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Donald was born July 6, 1922, in Milton, LA, to Jerry Morris and Louise Savoy Goodsell.

Donald was a US Army WWII veteran having served in the Pacific Theater; he retired from DuPont Sabine Riverworks after 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Orangefield.

Donald was a loving husband to his wife Hazel for 48 years, a beloved father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Hutchison Goodsell, son, Karis Goodsell, sister, Dorothy Hare and brother, Wynn Goodsell.

He is survived by his daughters, RaDonna Fancher and husband Tim of Broaddus, TX, Mary Bonaventure of Houma, LA and Jo Lynn Mott and husband Jon of Orangefield; grandchildren, Kimberly and Christopher Bonaventure, Whitney and Grant Mott and great granddaughter, Allie Bonaventure and sister, Mildred Waldrope of Rowlett, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Elkins, Charlie Elkins, Mark Foreman, Keith Mott, Kent Hutchison, Grant Mott, and Chris Bonaventure.

I am sorry to learn about the death of Donald Goodsell. This must have been a difficult time for all. Therefore, I'm forwarding scripture that will comfort you. Psalm 90:10 says that the usual human life span is 70 or 80 years. This was true when Mos##imported-begin##J Nunnally##imported-end##
