D. M. “Buster” Guedry, 85, was born in 1928 to Lillian and Bailey Guedry and died February 28, 2014. In 1949, he married Ann Pelt. Buster served as deacon, rice and soybean farmer, and cattle rancher. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Ann Guedry, and daughters, Teresa Durrett and husband Dwight of Hornbeck, LA, and Carolyn Watson and husband Larry of Montgomery, TX, four grandchildren, Jason Parish, Will Watson, Kristy Acevedo, and Laura Byrd, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lydia Currie and Myrtle Schofield, and one brother, Harry Guedry. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Sour Lake on Sunday, March 2, from 5 – 7 pm, with services on Monday March, 3, 2014, at 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery.
